Broadway in Bryant Park: Lindsay Mendez and Derek Klena perform show-stoppers from Wicked

The skies may have been cloudy, but the talent onstage was brighter than the sun at Broadway in Bryant Park. The ladies of Cougar: The Musical warned us that they were on the prowl, performing three songs from the musical, which just celebrated its first anniversary off-Broadway. The cast of The Fantasticks performed four songs from their show, which also celebrated a milestone of 20,000 performances off-Broadway. Sadie Sink, Taylor Richardson, and the orphans of Annie showcased that they are pint-sized mega-talents, belting “Maybe,” “Tomorrow,” and “You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile,” while understudy Danette Holden performed Miss Hannigan’s signature anthem, “Little Girls.” Wicked understudy Tiffany Haas taught us how to be “Popular” and her co-stars, Lindsay Mendez and Derek Klena, brought the house down with “As Long As You’re Mine” and “The Wizard and I.” Stage Door Dish was there to give you front-row seat to all of these fabulous performances.
