The rowdy cast of Broadway’s Hands on a Hardbody dance, sing and compete for a bright red Nissan truck six nights week. Tonight, they premiered an original rap video at the Glass House  Tavern in New York City, right next door to the Brooks Atkinson Theatre.

The rap video is written by cast member David Larsen, who plays Chris Alvaro in the show. It is edited by fellow cast member Hunter Foster who plays the character Benny Perkins and it showcases all of the show’s talented actors.

The entertaining video features the entire cast dancing and rapping in character as they sing about trying to win the truck, known as a hardbody. “If you want something…keep your hand on it,” is the catchy refrain. Look for each cast member’s special appearance in the video and listen also for the witty lyrics.

The cast clearly had a ball creating and filming this rap video. The cast, including Keith Carradine, Jay Armstrong Johnson and Allison Case, gathered with friends and fans in the bar next door to their theatrical home to play the video at their official premiere party.

They will premiere the video tomorrow on Youtube as they spread the word about their show. Help them out by watching the video and check back here for a direct link after the premiere.

UPDATE: The video has premiered and is available here.
