Ramin Karimloo, acclaimed West End actor and singer, will perform at the Regattabar in Cambridge, Mass., on May 22.The evening will include two concerts with the first starting at 7:30 p.m. And, because Stage Door Dish (read: Sam) couldn’t be more excited for the opportunity to see Ramin’s concert, we’re hosting a special contest for a ticket to the show.
Like our previous giveaways, we encourage participants to follow all of our social networking accounts (Facebook, Tumblr and Twitter) but unlike the other contests where all you had to do was reblog or re-tweet, we’re asking anyone who wants to get into Ramin’s show for free to step up their game.
To win the ticket for Ramin’s show, please submit something (letter, video, artwork, etc.) that explains why you should be chosen to see the show.
What exactly are we hoping to see since these guidelines are intentionally vague?
Submissions can range from a short letter explaining why you love Stage Door Dish and why you would like to spend the evening partying with Sam (because that’s part of the package, unfortunately), or how Ramin’s music has influenced your life, to a video of you covering one of his original songs or a song from any of his performances, a cartoon depicting yourself at Ramin’s concert (the funnier the better) or a completely original idea.
Members of the Stage Door Dish team will be looking for creative and powerful submissions. There’s no set guidelines rather the panel will create their own list of favorites then will converse over which submission really stood out.
If you have talented friends, feel free to exploit their talents to help you win. This can be a group effort just be aware that there’s only one ticket up for grabs.
Submissions should be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org before May 8 which means you have over a month to come up with something great.
Additionally, it was discussed that people are interested in a Stage Door Dish meet-up prior to the show. So anyone who plans on attending and wants to hang out before the show can email email@example.com. Once we have a head count we’ll begin planning the pre-party, choose a venue that accommodates the group size, etc. And I’ll do my best to bring some fun giveaway prizes for those who attend.
