Introducing Stage Door Hangouts and A Special Opportunity for Fans to Interview Ciara Renée!

I’m very excited to introduce the newest feature on that will continue the site’s mission of serving as the bridge between fans and their favorite Broadway professionals. Stage Door Hangouts will serve as an opportunity for fans to not only submit questions for interviews but be the ones speaking directly with the stars!

Here’s how it will work: By submitting the application survey (located at the bottom of this post), you will enter into the pool of fans who will be chosen for the Google+ Hangout with the star. Each Hangout has a specific time and date so please make sure you are available before sending in your application. Hangout interviews will last approximately 30 minutes but there will be an additional preparation time (approximately 10 mins.) and follow-up immediately after the interview (approximately 5 mins.) during which the fans involved with the interview will be speaking with me or a member of my staff.

Google+ Hangout interviews will be live-streamed for fans who are not part of the interview and will also be posted on the Stage Door Dish YouTube page following completion.

Please keep in mind that I am trusting the fans – you! – to be respectful and appropriate during these Hangouts. There is no leeway in bad behavior and those who cross a line will be immediately removed from the Hangout and banned from all future opportunities.

I’m honored to announce our first Stage Door Hangout guest is star of stage and screen Ciara Renée!

As one of the busiest ladies in the industry right now, Ciara has a lot going on in her professional life including recently wrapping up a hugely successful first season of The Legends of Tomorrow and preparing for the debut of the first musical she has ever written at Feinstein’s/54 Below. In addition to her current busy schedule, Ciara has a beautiful voice as exhibited most recently on The Hunchback of Notre Dame cast recording and has risen to super-stardom since making her Broadway debut in Big Fish (alongside Norbert Leo Butz, Kate Baldwin, Alex Brightman, and Bobby Steggert to name a few!) in 2013.

Ciara Renee’s Stage Door Hangout will be hosted on Monday, May 23, at 4:30pm EST.

If you’re interested in being part of the Stage Door Hangout and personally ask this mega-talented lady your questions, please fill out the following form and send it to with the subject “Ciara Renée Hangout” by Sunday at 10PM EST. Applicants will be notified shortly after the deadline.
