‘Miki’s Artwork’: A tribute to Bertie Carvel and Crunchem Hall’s evil headmistress Miss Trunchbull

Bertie Carvel’s terrifying transformation into the sinister Agatha Trunchbull in Matilda dazzled audiences and critics alike. Although his final performance is on Sunday, Bertie’s artistry with approaching one of literature’s most beloved villains will be remembered. Stage Door Dish’s resident artist Miki captured the dark intrigue of the evil headmistress to celebrate Bertie’s very successful Broadway debut as we wish him well on his future endeavors and hope to see him back on Broadway soon.
