Stage Scoop, Episode 1: Farewell to our faves and the tunes coming to an iPod near you

In the debut episode of Stage Scoop, StageDoorDish.com’s Emily and Melanie deliver news of the departures of some of our favorite cast members including Bertie Carvel, Lauren Ward, Reeve Carney, and Sigourney Weaver. Replacing Carvel in Matilda will be Craig Bierko and Jill Paice will be taking over Ward’s role of Miss Honey. No replacement has been announced for Carney in Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark but auditions are being held to find a replacement. Weaver was replaced this week by Tony Award winner Julie White. They also discuss exciting brand-new casting announcements from Second Stage Theater’s Little Miss Sunshine, Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey‘s If/Then, and Denzel Washington himself; and some of the exciting cast recordings being released this fall, including the off-Broadway revival of The Last Five Years. All that and more on this episode of Stage Scoop!
